So it's been quite some time... and there is quite a lot to say.

First... I got a job! It was all God's doing too because without Him, I would be on my way to a degree in Bummage for the next year. I ran into the Blackwells the other night and gave my number to them. They handed it off to their mom who told me about a job at Forcey Christian School. I had no desire to teach there but I thought it would be a good way to get some "practice" in the interviewing process. I left the interview praying I would get the job. I went through the long wait up till the board meeting... and was going so nuts that day too!!! I was so nervous but Katie and Jesse gave me a good lesson in a humbling game of minnie golf that set me at ease for awhile. I made it out of the board meeting alive... and got a call offering me the kindergarten position for the fall!!! I am absolutely thrilled... I am so relieved to been able to say that I am actually putting my degree to use... and dude I finally get my own classroom. Having to "share" a classroom during my student teaching and always having someone watching you can get real old real fast... and it was old long before I was a sophomore doing all my hours in the classroom. So the idea that i get to DECORATE my own room and not have people watching me teach.... priceless.

So... while waiting for school to start (and I mean waiting like a little kid on christmas eve) I'm now about to start packing for my trip to Indonesia. We leave at 5 am on Tuesday morning to begin the 22 hours of flying out there. I can't wait to see the Lord work in all of our lives. This group that I am going with is filled with some of the most amazing people I have ever met, and most likely will ever know. They are filled with Christs love and His Spirit with such a genuineness and purity that it is a blessing to simply be in their presence. During a time of prayer tonight, Graham began his prayer with "Is this what it was like when the disciples gathered together as they were preparing to go out and tell the world about Christ..." It was one of the most amazing times of fellowship I have had in awhile as we all shared stories of obstacles and triumphs over the past few months and how God has sustained each of us in our fears and trials. There is so many amazing stories about how God has moved in our lives as we have prepared for this trip it is amazing.

For instance Kev told us one tonight... and I'll try and make is short since this entry is about a book already. On Tuesday he got the idea (all credit givin to the Lord on the idea) to try and get a sponsor to help him buy a bass (we are putting on now two concerts while out there and he will be playing the bass for the band) to take out there and then be able to give away at the end of the trip. On Friday he was talking to someone and they wrote out a check for more then what Kev was thinking he needed, and as he went to get a bass, he talked to the guys at the store and they ended up being overly generous and giving him a huge deal and even all the other equipment needed.... thats just one of many stories....

I also asked God to provide me with $3200 for this trip. We needed $2200 to go, and I wrote a check for $660 in the beginning. There was also expenses such as medicine, shots, insurance and things of that sort that including the idea I may be able to get my money back, made what I hoped for $32000. I found out tonight.... I have EXACTLY $3200. I raised that in one month... God is SO good!!!!

So... thats whats up for now. Sorry to make is a long one. Hope you're all doing great, and I'll check back in after the trip.

Well today is Thursday... and I'm coming home in 2 days

Its been an interesting couple of weeks. I took over the class room... hence why I have had no time to update or email or... be in contact with anyone outside of MBS... except for the few who were in CR who some of which never emailed me back and you suck

Its been fun though. I got more control of the students and they finally started calming down. The only downsides was that the days were long... and the parasite came back kicking and screaming too let me tell you! Along with that a nice cold which gave me a nasty ear ache. Those put together gave me a good ole case of dehydration and gave me reason to go to the hospital Monday and be doped up on Tuesday. But I'm back in the saddle... or riding the horse sideways at the very least. haha. I'm tired, but the idea of coming home soon keeps my spirits up. The kids threw me a party today which was awesome and the teachers are throwing me one tonight which will be fun. I've actually had even more patience with the kids since I've been back, and had a lot of fun with them too. I'm sad about leaving the teachers here mostly. They are such amazing women and have given me so much advice and guidance on many life matters. I had a meeting with Priscilla and the pricipal today and it made me cry when they asked what I would miss. If I could have one of these ladies in my pocket for the rest of my life, I think I'd turn out just fine.

Okay... and here's some exciting news... I'M GRADUATING IN 9 days!!! Dude, thats not even a double digit number anymore... how exciting. If you're not there I'll beat you up.... thats all I have to say about that.

See all of you SOON

Jenni

And I'll be updating the pictures when I get home... just no time for that here.

Today is Monday... Today is Monday, Monday is a happy day.... (Just a little somethin somethin for Jeremy and Mrs. Christensen)

I got back from Arenal last night. It was a pretty great weekend, I must say. I ended up running into a girl I had met while on the tour to the La Paz waterfalls 3 weeks ago, Stephanie. It was so random, and it really made my weekend all that much better. When we got to La Fortuna we bummed it for acouple hours then I went off to do my canopy tour. It was really great.... My love for heights totally made it worth it and the views were amazing. Then when I got back Steph and I went to the Tobacon hot springs and jumped from one hot spring to the next... to the next... to the next... and then at closing time decided to go down the waterslide with a bunch of people we had met... totally the obnoxious Americans, but what can I say? Sometimes its fun to be obnoxious. We made it a late night with the "Korean Nsync" (haha steph you heard Hammer say that right?) at the discoteca and played some pool. I got the best Marangua lesson of my life, and scratched the pool game on the eight ball shot... so typical of me don't ya think? The next day we went on a horseback ride to this beautiful waterfall and then got to swim in the river below it.... all in all it was a spectacular weekend and I owe much of it to you Miss Huff :). It was great to have some girl talk finally on top of it all!!!

Now I am teaching in the class allllll by myself!! I really am loving it, while its kinda weird being in control of everything. I'll let you know later in the week how it goes...

Today was a relaxing day at MBS. It's International Day and can I say that us in the US are really quite boring when it comes to these days... we have nothing origional to go on. The girls from Costa Rica were all dressed up in these beuatiful dresses.... the US girls??? Tie-dyed shirts.... dude they weren't even born when those things were around! Sigh... when I get back I'm starting a revolution... we may be the melting pot but there must be something we started from scratch with... right? yea I know, its a loss cause but its quite depressing all the same .

I'm off to Arenal this weekend all by my lonesome. Gonna finally do what I know Sarah would kill me for not doing... a little zip linin through the rain forest. Hummer would be so proud don't you think Beth?? That and some soakin in the hot springs at supposedly the world famous Tobacon resort. While its been nice traveling with some people the last couple weekends, I must say I am looking forward to being on my own... more capable of meeting people if I feel like it, and much more relaxing when you don't have to entertain anyone. So... think of me this weekend off backpackin through Northern Costa Rica.

Thanks Kev for sending that message to Katie... and Katie getting right back to me :). Miss you FACers a ton, and can't wait to join in on all the crazy fun I'm sure is going on over there.

And Kim... I figured out a graduation present from the Tracy's.... cause I know they love me soooo much.  A week at their Condo in OC?? I think that'll do just fine, don't you?? By the way I can officially say this now right??? CONGRATS ON MY NEW NEPHEW OR NIECE!!! Yep folks the world famous aunt here is gonna get a chance to be even better November 15th

Love you all... talk to you soon!
